Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using the Maryam & Zayn website (https://learning.maryamandzayn.com) or the Maryam & ZaynAndroid application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the platform.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our platform.

Maryam & Zayn is an educational platform operated by Elipse Kids. It provides interactive lessons, quizzes, and AI-powered tutoring for children in classes 1–8, aligned with the Pakistani national curriculum.

The service includes the website, Android app, AI Tutor chat feature, leaderboards, and any other features we may add in the future.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Do not share your login with others.
• Each account is for a single user. You may not create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages on the leaderboard.
• If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at maryamandzayn@gmail.com.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Maryam & Zayn is designed for children — from early learners starting with alphabets and numbers through to students in Classes 1–8. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)and Google's Families Policy.

• Accounts for children under 13 must be created by a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on the child's behalf.
• Parents are responsible for monitoring their child's use of the platform.
• Parents may review or request deletion of their child's account at any time from the Delete Account page, in the app under Profile → Delete Account, or by emailing us.
• See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect and who we share it with.

You agree to use Maryam & Zayn only for lawful, educational purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the platform
• Use automated scripts or bots to artificially gain XP or leaderboard rankings
• Upload, share, or input any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content via the AI chat
• Impersonate another user, person, or organisation
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose without our written permission

The AI Tutor ("Ask Maryam") is powered by Google's Gemini AI model. While we have designed prompts to keep responses child-friendly and educationally appropriate, AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate.

• The AI Tutor is a supplemental learning tool, not a replacement for teachers or educational professionals.
• Do not share personal sensitive information (phone numbers, home addresses) in the chat.
• Your chat messages are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a reply. We do not send your name, email, or account ID with them, and they are not saved to our database. See Section 6 of our Privacy Policy.

All content on Maryam & Zayn — including lessons, characters (Maryam & Zayn), illustrations, audio, videos, logos, and software — is owned by Elipse Kids and protected by copyright law.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content without our written permission
• Use our characters, logos, or branding for any commercial purpose
• Create derivative works based on our content

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

XP points, streaks, badges, and leaderboard rankings are virtual rewards with no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for cash, goods, or services. Elipse Kids reserves the right to adjust, reset, or remove these at any time.

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or always available. Lesson content is curated for educational value but is not a substitute for formal schooling.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elipse Kids shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which, for free users, is zero).

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
